I’m Khristofer

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Seminary of the Southwest, preparing for licensure as a professional counselor. I was drawn to this field through my passion for relationships, my calling to help others, and the transformation I experienced in my own counseling journey.

I see every person as having an inherent capacity to grow, heal, and navigate the world they live in. For me, counseling is rooted in the safe, trusting, and authentic relationship we co-create together. Transformation often unfolds when just the right conditions are present—when there is space to reflect, to feel, and to connect more fully with one’s own story as it continues to uniquely unfold.

My hope is that my future work will be guided by a holistic view of mind, body, and spirit. I am continuing to grow in my ability to thoughtfully integrate elements of mindfulness and somatic awareness to support clients in feeling grounded and present in their journeys. I feel deeply called to walk alongside those navigating grief, processing trauma, affirming identity, building self-esteem and resilience, living with anxiety and depression, exploring spirituality as a source of meaning, and facing substance use. This work is grounded in and informed by frameworks such as harm reduction, recovery-oriented care, social justice, anti-racist practice, gender-affirming care, and trauma-informed approaches.

I believe that every person’s story deserves to be heard, felt, and seen. It is my deepest privilege to bear witness to this process and to share in the sacred space of growth, healing, and discovery.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” — Carl Rogers
